Something's I've never understood about life:
good things & people.
Why is that when people find a good thing, they don't want to share it? People will be so overcome with greed that it ruins the good things.
Well, I don't want to spoil the good things that come my way.
So instead, I've decided to share them with everyone.
You may not care, and you may not be interested, but this is my musical taste.
I offer you my most favorite and beloved bands on a platter.
For my first official everythingmelodious post, I decided I would start by presenting to you bands I've recently seen live and the beautiful music they gave to my ears.
This past Friday evening I went to the beautiful Majestic Theater(for the first time) with my wonderful mother for a Stars concert. The concert started though from a band I had no heard of yet called "Said The Whale"(not to be confused with "Squid The Whale" which is a band I'll talk about another time). The band did not make for a huge enterance which was different because no matter the venue or band, I'm used to some kind of buildup. Instead, they simply started playing. And boy oh boy, did they play their talented hearts out.
They are a five piece band and something that I enjoyed right away was that they had a female member. In fact, all of the bands on the Stars 2013 Spring Tour has a female member in it. But back to the point, they were inspiring to watch. They're Canadian and remind me of a more pop-influenced mixture of Imagine Dragons and Mumford & Sons. Not only is the song that I posted catchy as all hell, but the music video is incredible as well. There was a moment when I was in the crowd nodding along to a tune as they played and I couldn't help but thing "damn, I'm so lucky I'm here now because one day, I can say I knew them before they had Grammy's." Check out these Northern heartthrobs.
SO for the second part of my first blog, I'll introduce to you the second band that performed Friday. You may or may not know them by name or by a popular song but either way, they definitely a must when it comes to recognizing brilliant musicians. Are you ready? Drum roll, PLEASE... Ladies and gentlemen I present to you MILO GREENE!
So that's it! I shared two bands with you that I got to see this past weekend. And hopefully you'll listen and maybe even enjoy them. I have no authority over these bands and in fact I appreciate them so much because of the fact that you could tell that they don't make music for any purpose other than because it's what they love. So I want them to have success, and so I shall bequeath these and many more to come unto you!
Have a good one y'all!
